In 2003, Downtown Flint, MI, launched a project to revitalize its historic building facades, aiming to attract more activity and businesses to the area. To support this initiative, I was tasked with designing promotional materials that would communicate the project’s vision and generate excitement among business owners, investors, and the community.
I created a suite of materials, including a poster for display in the windows of existing businesses, an invitation to an event presenting the project to potential investors, and a brochure featuring a detailed map of the downtown area with the facades slated for refurbishment. Additionally, I designed lamppost flags that were displayed throughout the city, adding a visual touchpoint to build anticipation and community pride.
These materials played a key role in promoting the project, effectively engaging stakeholders and contributing to the overall effort to reinvigorate Downtown Flint. The designs highlighted the charm and potential of the area, helping to foster excitement and support for the revitalization.
